Description
Stevie’s infamous #1. Reproduced by Fender in replica form after Stevie’s death. I was in the process of changing the strings, which I did before every performance, and snapped a quick pic. He typically used 13-15-18-28-38-and 58 (sometimes 60) gauge strings and always tuned down 1/2 step to E flat. This night was at Al’s Bamboo Room in Dallas, Texas. The guitar case shown here is the one that accompanied the famous “Lenny” that sold at Eric Clapton’s auction a few years back in Dallas.
